SLY GROG-SELLING IN THE KING COUNTRY.
(Per United Press Association.) HAMILTON, September 3. The following sentences were passed in connection with the sly-grog selling cases:— Richard Burnett, two pharges, fined .£2O, and ordered, to come up for sentence on the second charge when called upon; P. McKiever and Henry Silvius, charged together, were ordered to come up for sentence when called upon; Pat McKiever, three charges, «£3U on tho first apd ordered to come up for sentence on the others when called on; Silvius, oae charge, <£30; Robert Allen, three charges, two months' ha>rd labotir; an information for making a false consignment note of goods by rail was dismissed; G<x>. Self, three charges, a month's hare! labour on the first charge, and ordered tc * come up for sentence on the re3t ; Willia'im Fairclough, three charges, J2O on the first and ordered to come up for sentence on the rest; Priseilla, Gaffpy, consenting to the ealo of liquor on her premises, dismissed:
