John Clark, alias Angus, was to-day committed for trial at the Supreme Court on a charge of causing grievous bodily harm to Alexander Hogg. This case is a sequel to the affair in Victoria Street on the night of July 21, when Hogg was shot in the left leg with a revolver. It appeared that he had been having some dealings and dispute about money with a woman, and Clark, appearing on the scene, joined in the discussion. Clark and this woman lived together. A DEIVER'S EXCITING EXPERIENCE. , NELSON, August 17. Early this morning a timber-laden waggon was being driven over, a slip on' the \Vhangamoa Hill Road, when the outer edge of the road gave way.
