ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

GREYMOUTH, August :?.
A fatal accident occurred in tho Cobdcn quarry this morning. A workman named D. McKcndry, aged 28, was prizing stone, about six feet from the bottom, when tho stone gave way more easily than he expected and carried him along for a few feet. lie slipped, and liis foot got caught botweou a uouplo of rocks, severing half of the foot. In falling he sustained internal injuries. Ho was taken to the Hospital, but died a few minutes after admission.
