CHRIST-CHURCH, June 8.

Mr Bishop, S.M., at Kaiapoi, sitting <ac a Licensing Committee, sat again to-day to consider the adjourned applications for licenses in the Kaipoi district, where reduction had been carried. Licenses were refused to the Junction Hotel at Opoka. and Kaiapoi Hotel, Kaiapoi. Three ap plrcalions were deferred to June 29, whei licpnsfs will be issued if satisfactory arrangements for improvements have been made. The other applications were granted.
