A German Press Opinion. Received June 5, 9.G a.m. LONDON, June 4. The Right Hon. Mr Lqng, in a speech at Jilpworlh, declared that- if a great fiscal question deserving of ' business-like and statesman-like consideration, coiild only be met by party declaration and a party attack," the fact involved a severe condemnation of the party system, and lie trusted to tlie good sense of the nation to come to the rescue of the question. He protested against the wild tales of an impending general election. The Government would not allotV their opponents to* force their hands. BERLIN, June 4.. The Vossichc Zeitung asserts, that nothing would have pleased Chamberlain - better than that Germany 'should take 7 belligerent tariff measures against a British colony., Nothing need impdde a peaceful negotiation and equitable compromise.
