The Pacific Steam Navigation Company's steamer Arequipu foundered at her;mooring at Valparaiso during a storm. Captain Todd, his wife, and officers were drowned. ■ ■Forty-five out of a crew 'of 80, mostly ,• Chilians, were saved.
