— ,o (From our_own Correspondent.) The ' local school's annual picnic and prize-rgiving took> place on .Saturday last, the 7th, ins't. Tlie attendance Was large, and, despite a threatening morning, the day proved excellent. A very enjoyable day was spent by the children in-ganies, racing, etc. Mrs A. G'eorgejti distributed the prizes, first addressing a few kind words of encouragement aiid advice to the children before doing- so. In the school examinations all the children succeeded in obtaining & pass. Following is the list of standards: — Standard V.— Violet Annabell, Victor Braitliwaite. Standard IV.— MaTy McConachie, Phyllis ' Haddoh, Frederic Annabell. Standard lit. — Marian McConachie; Ed- , prar Chtesswas,' Walter Chesswas, Arthur j Chesswas. - | , II. — Christiana McConachie, Audrey Haddow, May Gillespie, Bernard Annabell, Frank Chesswass, Edwd. Stokes, Sidney Murgetts, Albert Gilleapie.
