LOIJDON, -December 5.

To date 52,000 bales of wool havo been sold^o Hoihe buyers, ' 42,500. to the Continent, and 1500 to American buyers; '5000 were held over. Compared with October series, superior meriuos advanced 5 per cent, medium and inferior 6£ \pcr bent, fine crossbreds 7s, medium 10 . t& 15, law 25. There was a corresponding vadvauce .in lambs' wool. The prevailing opinion is ■ that merino values are on a solid* basis. . Crossbreds are doubtful. Their rise is due to sonsumers being .caught short.' It ia expected that the new year supplies fVotoT Buenos Ayres will relieve the tension. The total 'catalogue is 101,275 bales, and the "number sold 98,049 bales. . '
