At a mbetine: of the- Trotting Association the appeal from the decision of the Awatere Racing Club in disqualifying Merry for starting before time in a race was dismissed, the disqualification being on a question of fact. A batch of applications from trainers and riders' for licenses were received from the Auckland Trotting Club, but as no fees were forwarded the applications were not considered.
