TARANAKI HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

At the Hospital, and Charitable Aid Board to-day considerable discussion to6k place relative to,.the position of the Hawer,a members, Hawe^Br having been'Jmade a separate district this year by Act. ' According to the ruling of the Department, the representation cannot be altered till 1904, and though Ilawora has a. separate, • Board, it is atill entitled ,to be represented, on the New Plymouth" Board. The. question ■^>f contribution was also involved. It, was eventually, decided to appoint a joint committee from each Board to discuss the matter. . ■ > THE NELSON TROUBLE. NELSON, December 3. A deputation waited the Premier today relative to the police case, with the object of seeking justice iqr (Sergeant Mackay, whp had been dißrated, and ex-Con-stableß' Burrell and Durbridge, who had been dismissed. Mjr Seddon said, that if anyone satisfied him injustice had been done he would rectify it.
