(Per United Press' Association.^ 1 AUCKLAND, June 11. ' A deadlock has occurred in the Conciliation Board over the appointment of a. chairman in place of the Bey Collins, resigned. The Labour members mominated the Bey Burgess, and the others insisted., that the chairman should be a lawyer or other person * of legal or commercial qualification to adjudicate on points submitted for the chairman's .ruling. They offered to accept one of ten names that they submitted, which the Labour members declined. 4 A similar deadlock occurred on a previous occasion, when the Government appointed the Bey Collins ,as ■ominee of the Labour representatives.
