Pollard's Opera Company.

Mr Tom Pollard's Open Company, ai at present constituted, is said to be one of the strongest combinations that has ever visited New Zealand. While retaining such old and popular favourites as Misses Bertie Campion, Wilmont Karkeek, Alice Pollard, Nellie Wilson, Messrs W. Percy. A. Stephens, C. Carter, and D. O'Connor and H. Quealey, many new faces have been added to the company, including two specially engaged English artistes, Miss Lulu Evans and Miss Alice Edgar, the former is from the Savoy Theatre, and the latter from the -Prince of Wales Theatre, London. Miss Bosie Gresson, whose name has been made famous by her clever and unique dancing in "Florodoro," iB still with the company. In addition to these-, Misa Con— ftie Battel and Mr Jack Ralston, new acquisitions to Pollard's already strong combination, and whose performances in the first production of The Rose of Persia" in New Zealand, at Christ church lost week were highly commented upon by the local press, will also appear here, so that when we include the ballerinas from J. C. Williamson's domic opera Mr Pollard has specially engaged for Florodoro, some idea of the improved strength of the company may be imagined. All operas will be staged in the same complete manner as in Wellington, with all the wardrobe and properties used in the original production of these operas by Mr J. C. Williamson in Australia. The box plan is now open at Messrs H. I. Jones and Son's.
