A Hearty Reoentlon.

HOKITIKA, February 14.

The Premier had a busy day yesterday. At bis old home at Kumara he had a very hearty reception from the residents of the district, being presented with an eddress from the Mayor and Councillors. In the afternoon he opened the Industrial Exhibition and local Hospital, and at night delivered a short address, and subsequently attended a public banquet. The warmth of the reception was very marked everywhere. Driving through Stafford and Goldsborough to-day, the people accorded Mr and Mrs Seddon a homely welcome, and old friends gathered at all points. The Premier performs a pile-driving ceremony at noon.

A Toung Lady's Life Saved at Panama, Columbia, by Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera, and Diarrhoea Remedy. — Dr CJias. H. Utter, a prominent physician of Panama, Columbia, in a recent letter states: "Last March I had as a patient a young lady sixteen years of age, who had a very bad attack of dysentery. Everything I prescribed for her proved ineffectual, and she was growing worse every hour. Her parents were sure she would die. She had become so weak that she could not turn over in bed. What to do at this critical moment was a study for me, but I thought of Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera, and Diarrhoea Remedy, and as a last resource prescribed it. The most wonderful result was effected. Within eight hours she was feeling much better, inside of three days she was upon her feet, and at the end of one week was entirely well. — For sale by the United Fanners' Co-Op. Association.
