'The chairman- of the Manawatu Railway Company has received cable nd\i(e from the principal London simraholdors that they approve, of iW pnr?ip.ie- of the line by the Government. Mb it is not certain whether tbis is the dooision of a meeting or inertly xn expression of opinion by some of the chief shareholders, no meeting' will be held until mail advices are received.
