Moat .likely next season a team would vuit England from-Aus-tralia, and on ihe return arrangements might be made including New Zealand in th>s tour. The Hawke's Bay Association wrote asking that a committee ho set up .to select a team for the North Island, in the inter-Island match. It was decided to appoint one selector for the North Island and one for the South Island, to pick a representative team. It-was resolved that the fixing of the date of the inter-Island match should be deferred until the dates of all iuterprovincial matches have been settled. " He Canterbury v Otago match was fixed for December 26th, 27th, and 28th, at Hagley Park. It was decided to send a cable to Major Wardill, at Melbourne, asking whether it was possible for the English team to include New Zealand in the tour. Some dissatisfaction was expressed at the meagre accounts sent through the Press Association of the results of the English and Australian matches.
