The Grey Scholarship.
' The Sir George Grey Scholarship has been awarded to Douglas Hector for an examination in physics (magnetism, electricity, heat, sound, and light). _ This scholarship is worth .£SO, and is tenable for one year. .The amount' is a portion of the Parliamentary vote of .£2OO per annum for the establishment •of scholarships at the University Colleges in the four centres, as a memorial ..of the late Sir George Groy.
Nine candidates from the Wanganui Girls' College were presented this year for the annual University examinations of the "Victoria University. Six of the nine were first-year students, and three second-year students. Word was received yesterday that all nine had successfully passed.
