AUCKLAND BLIND INSTITUTE.
" Is it a Fair Inference P"
(Per "United Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, October 30.
At the Blind Institute inquiry, Mr Caleb Wood, one of the' trustees, said he had protested against the system under which Mr.Tighe, the principal, was allowed one shilling per head for catering for the inmates. He considered JB2OO a year could be saved on catering. As Mr Tighe had no private means, it was a fair inference that he made a profit on the food supplied to enable him to maintain his racehorses.
