The Hon. Mr Philip, en route to Melbourne, had a conference with the Premier on the acquisition of the Property Bill. In the interview he again strongly condemned the Kanaka Bill, md said it would ruin the sugar industry. He intended to urge Mr Barton to make further enquiricss before proceeding with the Bill.
