THE VAILE RAILWAY SYSTEM.
Sir Joseph Wa.rd laid ou the table certain correspondence in connection witbr the Vailo railway system. Mr Pirani asked whether there wacr any possibility of .the system being given a'trial oh a portion of the New Zealand railways. / Sir t Joseph Ward paid the correspondence showed that the Government were prepared to have a trial made on the Auckland section under . certain conditions. Tha matter had been referred to the Railways Committee, and the Government were awaiting its report before they considered whether any other steps' could be taken.
