Messrs- Joseph 'Paul and Co. have just landed a splendid range of, boys' clothing, specially mndo to their order for tho coming Christmas trade. A- decided novelty, and just tho article every parent has been looking out for, is' the r.cw jnaterial used in Ihe manufacture •of tho boys' suits. For the education of the young, apart from tho dry-as-dust literature generally thrust into the hands of our growing maids and youths, there are at present at command four instructive and beautiful historical editions, .one of them being "The King's Story Book" — historical stories collected out of English romantic literature in illustration of the reigns of English Monarchs, from the Conquest to King William IV. Then again there is "The Queen's Story Book," # edited by Mr G. Laurence Gomme, as a supplement to "The King's Story Book" — another excellent budget of stories; and further, there are "The Prince's Story Book" and "The Princess' Story Book," both ideal prize, bookß for young people, as they -are' calculated to encourage them in a love for their country's history. The collection is really a splendid one, and more genuine enjoyment is to .be got -out of the same than can be found in a score of modern so-called historical romances. The books mentioned are excellentlyillustrated, are published at a very;low prico considering their splendid value from an educational and also from a general reading point of view, and are on sale at Meßßrs H. I. Joneß and Son's establishment, in the Avenue. . As the supply is limited, and in view of the domand for College, school, and other Christmas prizes, application should 'be made at once to prevent disappointment.
