After competing at the Anckland Summer Meeting he Loxt took part in the gathering at Avondaie, where he annexed the ,F!ying Handicap, beating Lufra, Count I.amont, Tho .Sharper, and several others. At t\ie March meeting of the same Club, carrying top weight, he started favourite in the Waiakerei Handicap, and finished fourth- tot- Retaliation, The Lieutenant, and *The Sharper, the six furlongs being 1 run in 1.16. At the Auckland -R.C. Meeting he carried a bi" weight, and fan third to Doris and Reaper in the Railway Handicap, for which 'a field of nine started. Owing to an accident -on the course while competing he fell over a hurdle which had been inadvertently left on the* track, and this finished np his racing career. -- . j LINSTOCK is the biggest thoroughbred horsj that has ever visited, the Wanganui district. In colour he is black, and stands 17.1| hands high. Ha has a handsome head, beautiful rein, oblique Bhoulder, very short back, 'fine' flat bone, and is a good quartered horse.
