WOMEN'S FRANCHISE IN N.S. WALES.
Press Association— Telegraph— Copyright Beceived September 20, 9.55 a.m. v SYDNEY, September 20. In tho Legislative Council there was a warm debate "on the Women's Franchise Bill. Mr Want carried an amendment, by 19 to 16, eliminating the clause preventing women sitting in Parliament, after Mr Suttor, the Government representative,, had announced that if the Council decided the clause should be eliminated the Government would still stick to the Bill.
