Arrival of the Crew at Sydney .A Month on an Island before being Rescued. Beceived September 19, 10.7 p.m. ' SYDNEY, September 19The Quirang arrived with the crew 'of the Moonstone, wrecked on Ocean Island, where she arrived on July 3rd. ■ On the morning of July 26th, when .she had almost completed a cargo of 3000 tons of phosphates for New Zealand, and whilst atsttapting to pick up the moorings, she bumped heavily on a reef at the south end of the island. With the assistance of tho Pacific Island. Company's * staff, all . personal 1 effects and the ship's stores were saved. The cargo was jettisoned, but the vessel gradually settled down, and the same night slipped off the reef and sank in 130 fathoms. The crew were a month on the island before the Quirang arrived.
