Operations suspended by Rain in Cape Colony.
Preparing to resist Invasion of Natal. Local Corps called out. Received September 20, 9.17 a.m. LONDON, September 19. Heavy rains have suspended operations in southern Cape Colony, flooding the river beds, which often constitute the only passes in the mountains. Despite the hardships, the columns keep in touch with the BoerS. The Natal Mounted Rifles' field artillery has been called out.
