OFFICIAL RETURNS ~OF THF. FOUR CITIES.

WELLINGTON, Juno 15. The official cohsub returns of the four cities give Auckland 34,219, with suburbß 67,252 ; Wellington 43,566, with suburbs 49,292 ; Christchurch 17,537, with suburbs 57,037 ; Dunedin 2,886 and suburbs 52,398. Tho percentages of increase are Wellington, 18.04 per cent ; Auckland, 16.69 ; 'Christchurch, 11.12 ; Dunedin, 10.82. It is claimed that P"tono should be included in the Wellington suburbs, which would give "a total of nearly 54,000, but the Registrar doolincs to do this- though equally distant boroughs are included in other towns.
