ATTEMPTED BURGLARY.
(Per United Press Association.) ' STRATFORD, June 15. A b-lrglary was attempted here last night. Smart Bros 1 ., tinsmiths, had their office burst into and the safe carfried away into the railway 'yard. Vigorous attempts to open the safe failed. It contained about £3 in cash and .£IOO in cheques.
