SENSATIONAL CHARGES.
(Per United Press Associatfon.) 1 ' AUCKLAND, May. 20. • ' There was n sensational incident at the inquest at the asylum on Caroline Lidyard, who .was severely bruised in several ineffectual attempts to suicide. The jury returned _ verdict that death occurred from natural, causes. During the inquest the jury called attention to tho fact that on the table at which they were sitting was written "Call M. E. Godsell to'give evidence on. Caroline Eldyard." In .reply to the Coroner, Dr KoaMie stated he had a patient named Gbdsell. Mrs Godsell, being before the Court, stated that she wrote tha words on the \ table and proceeded to make a number ' of wild charges against th<> institmi-in. *, The Coroner assured Mm GodseH he J would report the matter to the .Minister of Justice -and the official visivor,' in order that they might, if th.^- thought fit, moke investigation.
