ENTRIES MORE THAN DOUBLED. A RECORD FOR THE COLONY. Tho entries received for the annual Show of the Wanganui Agricultural nnd Pastoral Association, to b 3 held on the Racecourse on Thuraday next, more than double those of last year. So far as live stock is concerned, the entries for the local Show exceed those of the two great Metropolitan Shows of Christchurch and Palmerston North by fully 100. Tho classea in which the largest increases are shown are horacs, "dogs, and poultry, and all three, we behove,, constitute a record for the colony, the number of horßes exceeding those entered at Palmeraton Noitn and Christchurch by about 100. For the leaping contest no less than 40 entries havo already been received, and as post entriea may be made for this particular event, th ; a record will, no doubt, be exceeded. Add to this the fact that the membershiD of the Association has bsen swelled by the addition of 100 names, and now stands at 355, and our readers may judge for themselves the .excellent work performed by the energetic committee and secretary, who are deserving of the very highest praise for tlio, enthusiasm displayed and-the- practical results.
