A CHAPTER Or ACCIDENTS.

The Grand National Steeplechase resulted as follows — Rosebud (Jackson) 1, Wallaby (Smith) 2, Hayseed (Mooney) 3. Sixteen started. Betting. 9 to 2 against Mysore, 9 to 1 Clalsecv, 33 to 1 Rosebud. The race «as a chapter of accidents, only six finishing. Euro made the running along the back. Mutiny piloted the way over the first fence in the straight, where Chelsea fell. Wallaby displaced Riverbide, leading Rosebud, Euro, Crusado, Mutiny, and Mysore, who were strung along the bafk. At the second time of passing the sheds Ciusado fell, Mysore ran off, and Wallaby swept into the straight clear of Rosebud, but tho latter gradually bore down the leader in the run home, and won by four lengths. Time, 6min 39} sec.
