DEATHS FROM HEAT.
A Melbourno telegram of January sth says:— A painful ahd altogether unusual and pitiahle sight was presented at the niorgW this morning, tho bodies of eight li'ttlo infants all lying out on ono slab, the victims of the recent hot weather. The necessary inquests were held, the medical testimony being that death lesulted from the excessive heat acting on a diseased body.-
