(Por United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 16. At a mooting in St. John's schoolroom, presided over by Mio Mayor, it was reBolved to form a branch of the Soldiers' Christian Association, and a deputation was appointed to wail on tho Minister for Defence and the Commandant to obtain permission for a Christian worker to sail with the contingent, and that he be commended to tho Imperial authorities at the seat of war to be placed on tho samo footing as workers of the Christian Workers' Association, and that special facilities be given for hia access to the New Zealand Contingents. A committee was appointed to collect and admiuister funds. Captain Charlwood, of Christchurch, notifies the Defence .Department that he has collected four or five cases of books for the use of the second contingent on the voyago to South Africa.
