Mr John Stcele Guthrie, manager of tho Christchurch Press Company ior the past six years and formerly editor of tho Pices, died this morning. n« had been ailing for some yc.u-s, but only lately U-e cimpla'.nt took a serious turn. Ho had been connected with the Press since J863.
