MAJOR ROBIN'S REPORT.
IMPERIAL OFFICERS PLEASED WITH THEM. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Janrary 15. Mr Seddon has received a report from Major Robin, the officer in command of the New Zealaud Contingent, dated Arundel Africa), Hth December, in which the later confirms all that has been said of the New Zealand Contingent having gained the good opinion of the Imperial ofiicers at the head of tho Brigade. Up to the time previous to the date of Major Robin's leter, the men had been twice under fire, aad the horso of one member of tho contingent had been shot under him. The Major stated that tho men are very hard worked, and there is very little time for writing or reporting. When they are quite tired out, and aro glad to drop on the ground and get what rest they can, They are often day and Dight in the saddlo. Thei contingent were delighted to receive tho Premier's cable congratulating them on the way they conducted themselves in their first; skirmish. Major Robin hopes to send a fuller report by next mail.
