Aueklknd arranging for supplies for the Amaiican coaling station at Samoa, was ontoirtained yesterday along with the members) of the Auckland Harbour Board and tjbe United States Consul, by Mr J. H. witheford. After lunch Mr Witlteford refcjrred to tho importance of the American r.kvy profiirii'g supplies from Nc<v Zealand, and congratulated America in securing a most valuable harbour in Samoa. Chptain Tilley, in responding, spoke of line friendly relations existing between thfe American and British people, and foreshadowed the time when they will act (unitedly, and all the Powers of the earth shall not prevail against them. '
