La Carabine put in a useful mile, as did Cremona and Cranberry. Holster and Australian Star spurted a few furlongs. Betting on Caulfiold Cup : 7to 1 Jtfora, 8 to 1 Scorn and Dewey, 10 to 1 Egypt, 16 to 1 La Carabine and Gaulus, 20 to 1 Cocos, Dirk Hammerhand and Kobold. Derby: 2 to 1 Cranberry, 4 to 1 Scorn, 7 to 1 Lancaster and Tremarden.
