The following is tho report to bo prcbontcd at th 6 annual meeting, lo be hold to-morrow evening at 8 o'clock at Messrs Williams and Harper's office:— 'Your committee, in submitting the 'bird annual report and balance sheet, aro a^ain able to congratulate you on tho flourishing condition of tho Society. Sinco last annual meeting ten Ordinary and a number df committeo meetings havo been held, which have been well attended. Tlio membership of the society now totals 48, all of whom aro active collectors; 18 new members have been elected, and 13 have dropped out. The committee have removed from the roll tho names of all who havo not paid their subscription for the current year. Our members, arc distributed as follows: — Wanganui 18, Hawera 4, Wellington 4, Christchurch 3, Auckland 2, Dunedin 2, Now Plymouth 1, Onunako 1, Huntcrvillo 1, Pihama 1, Pabiatua 1, Napier 1, Yvoodvillo 1, Waitotara 1, Upokongaro i Feilding 1, New South Wplcb 2, Tasmania 1, Victoria 1, England 1 ; total 48. The Exchange System has worked very Fatisfactorily, both for sellers and buyers, and tho packots havo been circulated rromptly with few exceptions. Your committeo would again impress on members tho necessity of despatch in forwarding tho packets. Accounts, with few exceptions have been promptly paid, an will bo seen by the accompanying balance sheet. Wo have three circuits, and during tho year eight packets have been circulated in each, and stamps to Iho gross value of ,£IBO s ls 7d havo been selected.

A collection of forgeries is being formed in connection, with the society, and the secretary will be glad to receivo from members any specimens they mayhave.

Wo havo to thank members for thoir help and co-operation in placing tho society in the position in which it now stands, and trust thai, it may become in tho near future second to none in tho ILoutliorn Hemisphere. Tho thanks of the society aro due to Mr H. G. Caddy, our indefatignblc hon. sec. and treasurer, tor tho time and trouble lip has taken in tho interests of Philately. — H. S. G HARPER, Chairman."
