Nominations for all handicaps must bo in the hands of the Secrutary. at the Waitara Hotel, on THURSDAY, 13th October, not later than 9 p m.,- accompanied with the name, ago, peuigiee, colours, and performances of horae. Acceptances and General .Entries on THURSDAY, 27th October, except for Welter, which acceptances are due after the Clifton Stakes.RULES AND REGULATIONS. Definition of Rack. — A hack means a horse that has never won an advertised race of any description (hack, hunter, and ponies' r&coi esceptcd), and is not nominated for any race other thau hack race at time of start. Five per cent will be deducted from the stakes towardspayingexpei-a^s. Jockeys must be clean and well dressed, or will ba liable to a fine of £5 for infringement of tM3 rule. All races to bo run under the Rules of Kaoing, as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand. All horses to be ridden in colors ; same to accompany acceptances and general entries. No entry or nomination will be received except upon those conditions:— That all disputes, claims, aud objections arising 6hall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or whom they may appoiut, and their decision upon all points connected with theeanyingoutof thin programme shall bo final, exenpe in cases of appeal provided for by the Rulep of Racing. Horses walking over will only receive oO per cent of the Btakos. The neces:>ary amount in cash must accompany all nominations and acceptances.
