A Licenso Granted.

Great interest was taken m Feilding yesterday in the Mangaweka licensing case. Mr Homer had Messrs Gully, Esam, Sandilands, and Sandeman engaged and the prohibitionists Sir Robert Stout. For the applicant there was a petition of 190 signatures. Tho prohibitionists' petition bore 191. The latter also challenged 5G signatures on Mr Homer's petition on the ground that they w ere persons who resided outside the radius or are under ago and also that some had signed the prohibition petition. The owner of tho promises, Mr F. Homer, purchased a license at Ohingaiti and allowed it to lapse, thus leaving one license to be dealt with. Tho license was granted.
