SIERRA LEONE.

News has been received that tho rebels at Sierra Leone, Hinterland, are deserting their leader. [Sierra Leone is a British colonial settlement ,n Senegamtna. (a region in West Africa, between Sahara, Soudan, and Upper Guinc.i), with an area of about 3000 square miles, and a population of 00,546. The colony has an armed constabulary fores of 570, in addition to about 800 men of the West India Regiment. It will be remembered that a few weeks ago some missionaries weie murdeied there. The original cause of the tiouble was the imposition in the protectorate of a hut tax of ss.]
