THE TRANSVAAL AND BRITAIN.
(By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) (Per United Press Association.) (Beceived May 26, at 11.45 a.m.) London, May 25. The text of the Transvaal Executive's reply to the Hon. Joseph Chamberlain's despatch shows that the Transvaal is prepared to abide by the stipulations of the 1884 Convention, but that it will not recognise the suzerainty of Britain.
