The Government, has decided to make a survey of alternative routes to the Wairarapa ana haS placea the work in the hands of Mr JDobson, one of the engineers engaged for some time on the Otira section. The block contains ab3ut 90,000 acres. The Times officially denies the rumours published in various pipers lately as to the retirement of Messra Cadman and McKenzie.
