NO PLAGE FOR WOMEN AT PARISH MEETINGS.

TO I'HE KMTOH. Sin,— Once more those valiant defenders of the church have gained a victory over the presumptions invader Woman. How proud they must feel of their position ! Their fame will go abroad to the ends of the earth. But liow about the women? Suppose they refuse to be any longer the tools and instruments of those valiant soldiers of the church ; how will the Church work go on ? Who will collect for the general church fund? Who will get vp subscriptions for Sunday bcljoolsV Who will sew at the guilds to raise money for a hundred and one little wants of the church ? There is always money wanted ; who colleots it ? Is it, not the women ? Those dear good men would be in a pretty fix if the women turned on them, and they would be quite justified in doing so, for if the women work for the church they have as much right to have a say in church matters, in spite of St Paul. We are uot Pauhsts, we are Christians. Women form more than two-thirds of the congregations and do more than two-thirds of the real work of the church. If the clergy were wise they would for their own sakes support the cause of the churchworaen. Hoping you will allow the space for these few lines, I am, etc. CIinitCHUOJIAN.
