DEATH OF A CENTENARIAN.
Kiuma Pakihnvi, of the Ngatipamoana liupu, d'ed tins (Fnday) morning on the foieshore. She was mother-in-law to ILumona te Aoteiangi, the chief of Konmti, who is over 80 yeais of age. fohc was also guindmother to Mrs Allan, of Makmkiri and Mrs Stephens, of Parapaia ; gieat gicindmother to Captain Allan and his sister (Captain Stmut's wife) and many othois. She lived to see a good many gieat-giout giandchildieu, and was no doubt the oldest Muon on this liver. She was well taken cue of by her youngest daughtei (Mrs Haimona), and death was duo simply to old age The deceased is believed to be at lea^t 120 yeais old, and is said to have .1 div tmct lecollection of the amval of Captain Cook 111 New Zealand.
