There are 4600 entries, and the prizes money is £2500. Representatives front all the colonies except Tasmania and Western Australia are present. McGregor and Parsons, two New Zealand shots, won small prizes iv the first natch. An outbreak of anthrax is reported from across the Victorian border near Albury. Good rains have fallen generally in J^ew South Wales, with the exception of the western distriot.
Adelaide, October 19. Mr Cammins, Ministerialist, has been elected to fill the vacancy in the Legislative Assembly, occasioned by the sodden death of Mr P. P. Gillon, Commissioner of Crown Lsnda. '
