MRS MAYBRICK'S CASE.
(By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) (Per Pessb Association) ' Washington, April 14. The Judicial Committee of tho Senate has declined to interfere in Mrs Maybiick'B case. A " Londoner " writos to the Wellington Times ai follows : — Sib, — The points in Mrs Mavbriok'i favour were : — 1 . That her husband was not proved to have died from arsenio poisoning. 2. That she was most carefully watched for a fortnight before her hmband'i death, and could not have given at>y poison or even food to him. S. That he waa notoriously an arsenic eater, and that such, when suddenly deprived of their drug, collapse. 4. That the doctors administered many remedies— it was said 19— that might have caused death. 5. That it was not proved that Mr Muy. brick died from anenio poisoning. 6. That the Judge summed up terribly against hor. 7. That, contrary to English custom, the doubts in the oaso were not given in her favour. Nearly all men that I spoke to were for her, and all women were againtt her. It was oertain that she wished for her husband's death, but it was not proved that she killed him. I was in London at the time ■ of the trial, and watched the evidence carefully.
