AucK&AfiD, March 7. The Wesleyan Conference resumad its ministerial session yesterday morning. The further consideration of applications for candidates for the ministry wbs deforrad until further information has been obtained. It was resolved that the Bey W. H. Judkins, probationer, Peildinp, retire for one year, and that the Bey J. W. Smith, probationer, Lake Wakatipu, withdraw from the ministry on account of ill health. The Bey B. J. Murray, Thwndon, was granted one year's rest ou the ground of ill health, The Bey L, M. Isitt was granted permission to rest for another year to continue his temper, ance work. The request of the Rev T. A. Jougbin, Te Arohs, for one year's rest to visit England vias granted. The recommendation of the Nelson Conference in 1895, granting permission to the Revs W. L. Leo and J. J. Lewiß to visit England, was confirmed. An application from the Bey W. B. Marten, Oimarn, to visit England in 1897 was deferred for one yen\ The request of the Bey R. S. Bimn, ot New South Wales, to continue as a supernumerary, wa? granted. The request of the Rev W. Read} , a minister of the former Biblo Christian Church, to visit England, was granted, and it was decided that the chairman of the Olago district confer with the Hey Mr Eeady at the quarterly meeting as to a suitable supply. The Conferonce resolved that Mr M. H. Ciaddock, M.A., Canterbury College, be sent to circuit work and that Mr A. B. Chuppell, student, bo appointed to a circuit. Later. The Hew Zealand Westeyan Conference resumed to-dsy. The follow/'ng; are the alterations on the second reading of the districts : — Kiritea, Ryan ; Palmerston ' (Cuba Street), Gingar ; Wellington district—Wellington, Banmber, Ward and Cbappel; Mastertoc, Hoskin ; Hastings, Smalltty ; Eketahuna, J. W. Uriffin , Waipawa, Low ; Woodville, Wiigley j Pahiatna, Perryman, Morley and Bead. A private cablegram from Melbourne giving information of the plan for the Methodist union in Victoria was unanimously adopted, the union to take effect in 1902. A fine and cordial spirit was manifested. A letter from tho Wesleyan Methodist Free Church stated that Mr Miles b,a.d been recommended or the ministry, subject to a satisfactory medjeal certificate,
