Donnan increased his score to 88, and Gregory hi« to 40, but the otheri failed to m»ke any stand, the innings closing for 230, or 113 ahead of the Disoonsolates, Turner took 3 wickets for 48, A Trott 3 for 58, Coningham 2 for 45, and Howell 1 for 44
Being 113 to tho bad, tbe Disconsolaies went in for thoir second innings, and made an excellent stand, tho deficit being wiped off for the loss of two wickots. Then Hill and 0 McLeod became asiociated, and hit both fast and slow bowling all over the field, but Hill lost his wicket just at tho close Of the day's play. The aoores are :— Lyons 9, Bruce 38,, Hill 74, McLeod not out 64, sundries 11. Three wickets for 196.
