The New Zealand Institute of Journalists Bill was receiyed from ft* Labour Bills Committee without amendment, and its committal was set down fsrnext day. The Commissioners Powers .Bill and the Cemeteries Act Amendment (Orei naation)BiU were put through their final stapes. The new clauses inserted by the Council in the Adulteration Prevention Act Amendment Bill relating to mar* gerine, and which were objected to by the House, were struck out, the Attor-ney-G-eneral stating that a new Bill would be introduced shortly to embody the excised clauses. The Native Townships Bill and the ■ Property Law Consolidation Act Amendment Bill passed through. Com* mittee without material amendment. The Council rose at 3.45.
