Tbe deputation expressed a hope that Sir ) Wilfred would see bis way to pay a visit to j the colony, where his presence would do a i great deal of good, in the temperance cause, t Mr Lawson, in reply, said his father was t a very old man and did not think he would t ever come out to the colony. Ha had a t great many duties to perform at Home, and i besides was advene to travelling % and * except it was for the beneftt of bis health - ha did not think his father would ever • undertake such a long sea voyage. How* , over, he would represent the views of the Alliance to him and point out that ft riiib would assist the cause, i Tha second annual convention of Tern- ' peranoe delegates will be held at PalmentoD 1 ■ North on Friday, the 84th inst.
