THE EXPORT TRADE.

Lohndoh, April 6.
The steamer Buteshire, from Poit Chalmers (Feb. 8), has arrived. Her live sheep have been landed in splendid condition. Only three died during the voyage. The bullocks are mostly in excellent condition, but a few show sign> of slight wasting. Fiv» died during the voyage. The animals fed well, and the heavy animals stood the voyage remarkably well. Eighteen of the bullooks are in exoellent condition and two middtldg. Another one was landed in a very brniied and wasted state, and had to be killed immediately. The rest of th# animals will probably be killed at Smitbfield on Monday.
Mekbottbnb, April 8.
Mr Wilson's report shows that the total ! produce exported last season was as follows : Butter, 11,500 tons as compared with 7300 tons for the previous season ; oheeae, 870 1 tons. The total value of produce exported for the year was £1,119,000. The report urges the Government to make a small charge for grading, packing, and supervising exports.
